Children's Counselling

Child With Painted Hands

Support for Anxiety & Worries

For children who experience excessive worrying, fears, nervousness, overthinking or difficulty managing anxious feelings

What Is Calm Seas?

Calm Seas is a semi-structured therapeutic programme designed to support children in understanding, managing and reducing anxiety and worries. The programme draws on evidence-based principles, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, emotional regulation and solution-focused approaches.

Although each session has a clear therapeutic focus, Calm Seas is intentionally flexible. Children are given space to talk about their experiences, explore difficulties that arise between sessions and work at a pace that feels manageable for them.

The programme can be adapted according to the child’s age, developmental stage, presenting concerns and individual circumstances.
