How I work with you
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw from a range of counselling approaches to best support your individual needs. At the heart of my work is a warm, respectful, and person-centred approach. I believe in supporting you towards greater self-awareness and a stronger sense of self-worth. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you as you gain clarity, build resilience, and find your way forward.
Counselling is your space to bring whatever feels important to you at the time. There’s no right or wrong way to use your sessions. Some people come with a specific difficulty they’d like to work through, while others use the time for reflection, support, or simply to process their thoughts and feelings.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if it’s something new. The first session is a gentle introduction. We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy and what you might hope to gain from it. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how it feels to work together and to ask any questions you may have.
There’s no pressure to continue after that first session—the choice is always yours, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported in whatever you decide.
